Role Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated Legal Officers to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in banking law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance and will be responsible for providing legal counsel, drafting legal documents, and assisting with litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on banking and commercial matters.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
- Assist in litigation and dispute resolution, representing the bank’s interests.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and legal standards.
- Liaise with internal departments to address legal issues and offer solutions.
- Stay updated on laws and regulations affecting the banking industry.
Qualifications and Other Competencies
- A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M) from a recognised university.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a bank, financial institution, or law firm.
- Must have obtained Sanad from the Bangladesh Bar Council to practise as an Advocate in Judges’ Court in Bangladesh, particularly in Dhaka Judge Court.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Age not exceeding 40 years as of 27 March 2025.
