Applications are invited from Bangladeshi Nationals for filling up 1 (one) permanent post of Assistant Professor & 1 (one) temporary post of Lecturer against 2 (two) permanent posts of Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Dhaka. In the pay scale of Tk. 35,500-67,010/- for Assistant Professor and Tk. 22,000-53,060/- for Lecturer (National Pay Scale -2015).
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: Candidates must have a first class/a minimum CGPA 3.50 out of 4.00 in both Bachelor (4 years) and Master degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Degree from a reputed university along with a first division or a minimum GPA 4.25 out of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations. Requirements for either the SSC or HSC examinations may be relaxed for the candidates who have obtained the first position/the highest CGPA in both Bachelor and Master degrees. Candidates must have at least 03 (three) years of teaching experience at a university or at least 02 (two) years postdoctoral research or at least 06 (six) years research experience as a research/scientific officer or an equivalent position in a reputed research organization. Candidates with a PhD should have at least 01(one) year of teaching experience at a university. Applicants must have at least 03 (three) research publications in the indexed/quality journal with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier). Articles published in predatory journals will not be accepted. Preference may be given to the candidates who have studied Electrical Power system and have research experience in that field (especially Power system protection/High voltage engineering) and to those who have Ph.D. degree. If qualified candidate is not found for assistant professor, this post could also be filled up with a temporary lecturer.

APPLICATION GUIDELINE: Candidates have to fill the online application form and pay the application fee Tk. 750/- (Seven Hundred and Fifty) by logging on to https://jobs.du.ac.bd website by 11:59 PM on 12/07/2025. After successful completion of the online application process, candidates can download their filled application form and payment slip in PDF format. 08 (eight) copies of the downloaded application form should be printed and submitted to the Registrar, University of Dhaka within office hours on 13/07/2025 with payment slip. Attested copies of certificates, testimonials, marksheets and proof of experience should be attached to each copy of the application form. Candidates who are already in service should apply through proper authority.
