POSITION: Research & Knowledge Management Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES & CONTEXT

The internship is designed to support the Research & Knowledge Management Unit of Truvalu Bangladesh in driving evidence-based decision-making across the organisation. The role offers the candidate valuable exposure to the impact investment ecosystem, while providing hands-on experienc in the design and implementation of research initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the gathering and organisation of qualitative and quantitative data from primary and
  • secondary sources. This may include reviewing and analysing local, national, and global data
  • sources, coordinating recruitment for qualitative studies, carrying out in-depth interviews and
  • focus groups with service users, staff, and other stakeholders, as well as overseeing data
  • management and analysis.
  • Assist in drafting research notes, reports, knowledge briefs, and any key findings.
  • Contribute ideas for research design, relevant topics for investigation, knowledge products, and
  • innovative approaches to data collection and analysis.
  • Review and refine reports, ensuring clarity, consistency, and quality of communication.
  • Assist in creating frameworks, survey tools, and templates to support ongoing and future
  • research projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university with a background in business
  • administration, economics, finance, social science or other related fields.
  • Previous experience in survey or interview questionnaire development, report writing
  • (academic or corporate), and use of different data collection (Kobo Toolbox, SurveyCTO
  • etc.) or analysis platforms (R, Nvivo, etc.) will be preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to actively listen and collaborate effectively
  • with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, coupled with the ability to clearly communicate research
  • insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness and ability to have frequent field visits to different parts of the country.
  • Having your own laptop and using it for the internship is encouraged.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week).

Duration: 3 months

REMUNERATION: Truvalu provides opportunities to freshers for gathering in-depth practical experience and learning to pursue a better career. A monthly competitive internship allowance will be paid.
