Toddler becomes youngest double Guinness World Records holder
A toddler from Manchester has stunned the sporting world after becoming one of the youngest record holders in Guinness World Records history.
At just two years old, Jude Owens pulled off not one but two rare cue-sport feats, earning him global recognition. On 12 October 2025, aged two years and 302 days, Jude successfully completed a pool bank shot. Only weeks earlier, when he was two years and 261 days old, he had already achieved a snooker double pot.
Those performances made him the youngest person ever to complete both trick shots, securing two Guinness World Records before his third birthday.
According to the BBC, he was asked which shot he enjoys most, Jude had a simple answer: “A trick shot.”
His father, Luke Owens, said the milestones still feel surreal. He explained that while one record would have been remarkable on its own, achieving two at such a young age felt almost unbeatable.
Luke first noticed Jude’s talent at home, where snooker quickly became more than just a game. Although Luke himself started playing at the age of 10, he believes his son shows a far more natural feel for the sport.

He recalled the moment Jude instinctively held the cue correctly, slipping it through his fingers with ease. Because of Jude’s height, practising was not always straightforward. At first, the family relied on bar stools wherever they could find them, before eventually adapting a kitchen stool to help him reach the table properly.
Despite his age, Jude is already confident about his abilities. Asked who would win if he played against his father, he replied without hesitation: “Me.”
Away from the snooker table, Jude is every bit a typical Manchester child. He is a devoted Manchester United supporter and is particularly fond of club captain Bruno Fernandes. According to his family, he can sing every word of Take Me Home, Country Roads.
Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, said achievements like Jude’s highlight that record-breaking has no age limit. He described Jude’s skill, enthusiasm and determination as exceptional, adding that Guinness World Records was delighted to welcome him into its record-holding community.
