The Taiwan ICDF scholarship provides a comprehensive support package to ensure scholars can focus entirely on their academic and philanthropic goals. Successful applicants will receive:

  • Travel: Full coverage of round-trip economy class airfare.
  • Education: Complete waiver of tuition fees, credit fees, and textbook costs (as approved).
  • Accommodation: Student dormitory housing provided for the duration of the course.
  • Insurance: Full student safety and medical/accident insurance.
  • Monthly Allowance: Master’s candidates receive NT$18,000 per month, while PhD candidates receive NT$20,000 per month to cover food and personal expenses.

Eligibility Criteria and Regulations

To maintain the high standards of the Taiwan ICDF framework, candidates must adhere to the following eligibility requirements:

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of an eligible country and cannot hold citizenship of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
  • Academic Standing: Must meet the specific admission requirements of the chosen partner university and provide their highest-level diploma by 31 July 2026.
  • Scholarship History: Applicants cannot receive another Taiwan government-sponsored scholarship in the same academic year. Previous recipients of ICDF, MOFA, or MOE scholarships must have graduated by 31 July 2025 to be eligible for the 2026 cycle.
  • Visa Compliance: Candidates must fulfil all requirements for a Resident Visa (Code: FS) and an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) as mandated by the Taiwanese government.

Application Procedure and Required Documentation

The application process involves a dual-track system. Prospective students must ensure they complete both the central scholarship application and the specific university admission process:

  1. Online Application: Complete the official form via the Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Online Application System.
  2. University Submission: Submit a separate program application directly to the chosen partner university before their respective deadline.
  3. Documentation: Applicants must prepare their highest-level diploma, official academic transcripts, and a valid passport or national ID.
  4. Consular Verification: Ensure all additional documents required by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy or representative office are submitted promptly.

Critical Deadlines

The closing date for all online applications and the submission of required materials is 15 March 2026. Please note that applicants may only apply for one program at a time. Failure to provide accurate information or meet the university-specific admission criteria will lead to disqualification.
