Addressing the graduates, Dr Abed Chaudhury congratulated them and said, “Bangladesh and the world are going through a major crisis. A crisis combines risk and possibility. As we assess our risks and options locally and globally, our education and experience stand by us. You represent that education, and your ability to overcome crisis will shape the future.”
UGC Member Prof Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossen also congratulated the graduates, saying, “This moment is not merely a convocation; it recognises years of hard work, sleepless nights, resilience through challenges, and the sacrifices made by both students and their parents.”
In her welcome address, Nadia Anwar said the graduates’ achievements reflected perseverance and determination. Addressing parents, she expressed gratitude for their sacrifices, saying these formed the foundation of the students’ success.
Delivering the convocation speech, Prof Dr Habib Fardoun, Executive Committee Member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence in Brussels, said AIUB’s motto, “Where leaders are created,” was a promise to its students and society. He added that curiosity, lifelong learning and bridge-building would define future leadership.
