Building bridges to success: NSUDC hosts career-focused webinar

North South University Debate Club (NSUDC) recently organised a webinar titled “From Campus to Career” to equip students and recent graduates with essential skills and strategies for navigating the competitive job market. The virtual event, attended by approximately 500 participants, offered insights into building a seamless transition from academic life to professional success.

The keynote speaker, Mr. Samuel Mursalin, an academic and recruitment expert, shared his wealth of experience in talent acquisition, career development, and leveraging technology for professional growth. 

Topics covered included crafting winning CVs, optimising LinkedIn profiles, identifying growth-oriented roles, and utilising AI tools to enhance digital presence. Mr. Mursalin emphasised the transformative potential of AI in building a personal brand, stating, “AI is not just a tool but a catalyst for redefining how we present ourselves in the digital world. Learning to use it effectively can set you apart in today’s competitive job market.”

Participants were engaged throughout the session, particularly during the Q&A segment, where they explored practical applications of the insights shared.

NSUDC Vice President Fatima Ahmad expressed immense satisfaction with the overwhelming participation, stating, “This webinar exemplifies our commitment to empowering students and fresh graduates with knowledge and tools to excel in their careers.”
