Barishal Textile Engineering College, in collaboration with Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and Barishal University, successfully organised Textile Olympiad 2.0 yesterday (23 August), a joint academic and industrial knowledge-sharing programme

The initiative brought together students, faculty members, and industry experts to explore advancements in sustainable textiles, align industry practices with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and promote industry-academia partnerships for future growth.

The programme featured engaging sessions, keynote speeches, and interactive discussions focused on responsible consumption, circular fashion models, and technological innovations in the textile sector. Participants gained insights into practical solutions for reducing environmental impact, ensuring fair labor practices, and embracing eco-friendly production techniques.

Speaking about the collaboration, the organisers emphasised, “This joint effort demonstrates our commitment to empowering students with future-ready skills and creating awareness about sustainable development in the textile industry.”
