The Way 2025, held at BRAC University on 24 August, brought together students, professionals and changemakers to explore how young people can shape their own paths and redefine the meaning of success.

The event opened with an interactive session by Asif Saleh, executive director of BRAC, who urged students to embrace resilience and innovation. “Change begins when we take responsibility together,” he told the audience.

Youth voices took centre stage in SparkTalks, where Wity Roy from Mongla and Mahinur Saif of BRAC shared personal stories of overcoming challenges. A spirited debate followed on whether Bangladesh’s future lies in creating opportunities at home or abroad, sparking lively exchanges among participants.

The day’s highlight was a panel discussion titled “Beyond one way: Diverse definitions of success”, featuring Tajdin Hassan, Nishat Anjum Palka and Bashira Harun. The speakers emphasised that success is not confined to wealth or titles but can also mean impact, purpose and community uplift.

Closing the event, Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar, vice-chancellor of BRAC University, reminded students: “Opportunities lie where there is emptiness. When you fill the gap, you fulfil yourself and uplift everyone.”

As the curtains fell on The Way 2025, the message resonated strongly: there is no single path to success. The journey lies in reflecting, creating and finding one’s own way, while carrying the responsibility of building a better tomorrow.
