The Grand Finale of ResearchSpark: 3 Minute Thesis at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology concluded on 3 April 2026, marking the culmination of months of research, mentoring and evaluation.

Organised by the IEOM BUET Student Chapter and supported by Thakral Information Systems Private Limited, the competition brought together more than 270 participants from over 20 universities, with 95 submissions across diverse research areas. Thirteen finalist teams presented 14 projects covering technology, sustainability and operational systems.

Team AIUB_Hydra emerged as the champion. Team UIপোকা secured the first runner-up position, while Team Order of Early Warning finished as second runner-up.

The finale featured projects addressing real-world challenges, with entries evaluated on clarity, relevance and potential social and industrial impact.

According to the organisers, ResearchSpark reflects BUET’s commitment to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthening students’ research communication skills. The platform encourages young researchers to translate academic ideas into practical, solution-oriented innovations.
