The English Club of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) successfully hosted the Wordsmith Competition on 30 July 2025 at the BUFT Multipurpose Hall.

The event was graced by Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor of BUFT, as Chief Guest. Gp Capt ANM Rafiqul Alam (Retd), Director of Student Welfare; Mr Mohammad Imtiaj, Director of Public Relations; and Prof Dr Ali Azgor Talukder from the Department of English attended as Special Guests.

Tasnim Tabassum Khan Autry from the Fashion Studies programme was named Champion, while Mehbuba Rahman and Sumaiya Rahman Tina from the Department of English secured the First and Second Runner-up positions respectively.

The special guests praised the initiative for nurturing confident communicators and commended the BUFT English Club for its commitment to promoting excellence in language and communication. The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony and appreciation for all participants.
