JU team becomes champion in the National Cybersecurity Hackathon.

A team from Jahangirnagar University has secured the championship title in the university category of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Summit 2025 Hackathon, organised by the Control of Certifying Authority under the ICT Division.

The team, named Triptych, consisting of students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department, clinched the title in the final round held recently at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.

CSE Department Professor Dr. Mohammad Zahidur Rahman also presented a keynote paper at the event, focusing on cybersecurity infrastructure and digital trust systems.

In a congratulatory message, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan greeted the winning team, saying that their success has brought pride and honor to the university. 

“This achievement will further enhance the reputation of Jahangirnagar University in the field of information technology and cybersecurity,” he added.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that the CSE Department would continue its advancement in research and innovation, contributing to the country’s ICT sector.

The PKI Hackathon 2025, a national platform for cybersecurity enthusiasts, drew participation from students of various public and private universities across the country.
