Cine Carnival 4.0 held at ULAB campus
Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) launched Cine Carnival 4.0, a three-day event held at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) permanent campus from 13 to 15 December 2025.
The carnival was inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Prof Dr Din M Sumon Rahman, Chief Adviser of DIMFF, and Mohammad Touqir Islam, Director, Producer, Screenwriter and Cinematographer of the film “Delupi”.
The first day of Cine Carnival 4.0 was open to all, transforming the campus into a vibrant space showcasing colour, culture and creativity. More than 40 stalls featuring jewellery, fragrances, food, clothing, home décor items, make-up and henna attracted students, families and visitors throughout the day.
A range of interactive activities, including balloon shooter games, Nagor Dola and Ghuraina Chobi (360-degree rotation), added to the festive atmosphere and drew participants of all ages.
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote cinematic culture, DIMFF introduced CinemaGhor, its signature annual attraction inspired by traditional village film screenings where communities gather to enjoy storytelling together.
Mohammad Touqir Islam and Amit Rudra, Screenwriter, Executive Producer and Art Director of “Delupi”, along with members of the film’s crew, participated in CinemaGhor and shared insights into the making of the film. The session offered attendees an opportunity to learn from practical experiences within Bangladesh’s evolving film industry.
Cine Carnival 4.0 continues over the remaining two days with additional attractions, film screenings and interactive activities as DIMFF pursues its mission to broaden access to cinema and celebrate storytelling through mobile filmmaking.
