The university has issued a notice asking interested students to submit their applications by 5:00 pm on Sunday (8 February).

The notice, signed by Additional Registrar Professor Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain, stated that students willing to travel to their respective divisional cities to cast their votes must submit their personal information along with a photocopy of their National Identity Card (NID) to the Registrar’s Office.

The required information includes the student’s name, department, session, father’s name, mother’s name, NID number, and permanent address.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Haider Ali announced the decision to launch the bus service during a meeting with representatives of various student organisations.

Additional Registrar Professor Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain said, “The decision to provide buses has been taken based on students’ applications. If there are sufficient applicants for a particular city, we will arrange a bus without any difficulty. However, it will not be possible to provide a separate bus for cities where only a few students apply.”

He added, “If students submit the required information by 5:00 pm today or by 10:00 am tomorrow, we will be able to operate the bus services by tomorrow afternoon.”

It is worth mentioning that on Thursday (5 February), students submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar requesting transportation facilities to divisional cities for voting.
