CUET hosts symposium on clean and affordable energy

Chairman of the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC) and Senior Secretary Mohammad Wahid Hasan NDC has said that research is essential to addressing the country’s many challenges and ensuring sustainable development.
“There are many problems in our country, so research is essential to find solutions,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a symposium titled “Innovation Power Infrastructure: Advancing Clean Affordable Energy for Bangladesh’s Future”, held at the central auditorium of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on 23 July.
The event was jointly organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at CUET and the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council.
Mohammad Wahid Hasan further emphasised the importance of applying research findings for the greater benefit of the nation. “Everyone must be conscious and committed to ensuring that our research outcomes contribute effectively to the country’s development and public welfare,” he said.
The symposium was presided over by Professor Dr Tofail Ahmed of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, BEPRC Member Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, and Professor Dr Kazi Delair Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CUET, were also present at the event.
