DU Finance Department Launches ‘Finvestor 2025’_16x9

The Department of Finance at the University of Dhaka has launched Finvestor 2025, its flagship national-level finance case competition, co-powered by Prime Bank PLC. Open to undergraduate students from universities across the country, the competition will run from 22 July to 2 August 2025.

With the theme “Numbers with Purpose,” Finvestor 2025 seeks to bridge the gap between academic insight and real-world financial decision-making. The competition invites aspiring finance professionals to apply their analytical skills to practical challenges in risk, return, and strategic finance.

Teams must comprise 3 to 5 undergraduate students from the same university. Registration opened on 11 July and will remain open until 21 July, with a registration fee of BDT 500 per team.

The competition is structured across three rounds: an initial online case submission, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and a Grand Finale to be held on 2 August. A total prize pool of BDT 1,00,000 will be awarded to the top three teams, with the Champion receiving BDT 50,000, the 1st Runner-Up BDT 30,000, and the 2nd Runner-Up BDT 20,000.

More than a competition, Finvestor 2025 is designed to cultivate the next generation of financial leaders—encouraging students to think critically, solve complex business problems, and make meaningful contributions to the field of finance.
