The Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) played a leading role in organising the first IQAC Students Research Conference at the University of Dhaka.

As a key co-organiser, DURS was involved in managing the large-scale academic event, which attracted around 400 research submissions from students at all levels, ranging from undergraduate to PhD programmes.

Members of DURS also performed strongly in the competitive segments of the conference, securing one-third of the awards presented for outstanding oral and poster presentations.

The awards were received across multiple disciplines, including science, social science, and business, reflecting the society’s active engagement in research activities across faculties.

Organisers said the outcome highlights the growing role of DURS in promoting a research-oriented culture at the University of Dhaka and supporting the development of early-career researchers through academic platforms and peer-led initiatives.
