What began as a small university project at BRAC University has grown into one of the country’s most celebrated tech ventures. Dubotech Digital Ltd, widely known for its flagship underwater robotics team BRACU Duburi, has been awarded Bangladesh’s Best Startup of the Year at the National SME Entrepreneurship Award 2025, organised by the SME Foundation under the Ministry of Industries.

Dubotech received the top honour in the Startup of the Year (বর্ষসেরা স্টার্টআপ প্রতিষ্ঠান) category in recognition of its rapid growth, technological innovation, and contribution to the country’s emerging robotics and marine-tech sector.

The award was received by Md Mahfujul Haque Sourov, Co-Founder of Dubotech Digital Ltd, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the team.

Over the years, Dubotech has gained national and international attention for developing indigenous underwater drones, providing maritime inspection solutions, and inspiring a new generation of young technologists. Its journey from a student initiative to a government-recognised national startup reflects the growing strength of Bangladesh’s innovation ecosystem.

With this recognition, Dubotech aims to scale its technological capabilities, expand global collaborations, and contribute to the growth of the country’s deep-tech industries.
