BUET hosts GSEA awareness seminar to motivate aspiring entrepreneurs
The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) Awareness Seminar was held at the BUET Auditorium Complex, organised by Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Bangladesh in collaboration with RISE, EDC and BMCC. The event aimed to motivate students to pursue innovative entrepreneurship and participate in global competitions.
RISE Director Dr Md Shariful Islam highlighted the importance of nurturing innovation, initiative and problem-solving skills among students. EO Bangladesh President Sohana Rouf Chowdhury said GSEA serves as a platform for young entrepreneurs to gain mentorship, global networking opportunities and international visibility. GSEA Chair Mostofa Kamrus Sobhan described the programme as a key opportunity for students to showcase their talent, innovation and leadership on a global stage.
Other speakers included GSEA Co-Chair and Spark Infrastructure Chairperson Tanazzul Ayman, and Satory Limited Founder and Director Shawon Tanvir. The seminar concluded with a Q&A session, a group photo and a vote of thanks.
The Bangladesh chapter final will be held on 31 January, 2026, awarding Tk10 lakh to the national winner, who will represent Bangladesh at the global competition. The global winner will receive USD50,000 at the finals in South Africa in July 2026.
