Dhaka University to host its first-ever TEDx event on 25 October

The University of Dhaka is set to host its first-ever TEDx event, marking a milestone in the institution’s century-long journey as a leading centre of thought and innovation in Bangladesh. The event, titled TEDxUniversityofDhaka, will take place on Saturday, 25 October 2025, at the TSC Auditorium under the theme “Bangladesh Reborn: Progress Through Perspectives.”
This historic occasion brings Dhaka University into the global network of TEDx events, known for spotlighting transformative ideas and change-makers from around the world. Over six sessions, thirteen distinguished speakers will take the stage to share insights, experiences, and bold visions for the nation’s future.
The event’s theme calls for a reimagining of Bangladesh through the lenses of innovation, resilience, and inclusive progress. From scientific breakthroughs and sustainable governance models to social movements and creative revolutions, TEDxUniversityofDhaka will explore how new ideas can drive national transformation.
Organisers describe the event as “a platform for radical optimism and disruptive innovation,” curated to inspire young thinkers, researchers, and changemakers. It will also offer attendees the chance to engage with thought leaders, industry pioneers, and the next generation of innovators shaping the country’s future.
“This is more than an event — it’s a defining moment in Dhaka University’s intellectual evolution,” said the organising team. “Through TEDxUniversityofDhaka, we are reaffirming our role as a catalyst for ideas that challenge, inspire, and reshape the world.”
