Hult Prize at CU marks global entrepreneurship week with weeklong events
Some of the country’s leading business minds and young entrepreneurs have taken part in the “Entrepreneurs’ POV” podcast series organised by Hult Prize at University of Chittagong (HPCU) as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025. The week-long celebration included a seven-day programme featuring an online podcast series, a one-day seminar and a two-day Entrepreneurs’ Fair.
The podcast sessions were livestreamed on the “Hult Prize at University of Chittagong” Facebook page, while the Entrepreneurs’ Fair was held on 19–20 November at the Buddhijibi Chattar of the University of Chittagong. The closing ceremony took place at the Social Science Auditorium on 20 November.
The Global Entrepreneurship Week was organised by the Hult Prize at University of Chittagong 2025–26 committee, led by Campus Director Khaled Mahmud Onik, Chief of Staff Kazi Muhaiminul Islam Munaj and Chief Strategist Karin Saffana.
As part of the week’s activities, HPCU hosted a five-day online podcast series featuring established entrepreneurs and innovators who shared insights with students and aspiring founders.
Podcast sessions included:
- 17 November: Ariful Hasan, managing director of Denimic Ltd, and Shaan Shahed, founder and CEO of Red Carpet, on “Scaling Identity: Culture, Community and Brand Advantage.”
- 18 November: Antik Mahmud, founder and CEO of Antik Animated Studio, spoke on “Creativity Meets Business: The Power of Storytelling in the Digital Age.”
- 21 November: Rasha Khan, founder of Escape Bags, discussed “Empower Her: The Rise of Women Entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.”
- 22 November: Ghulam Sumdany Don, chief inspirational officer of Don Sumdany Facilitation, delivered a session titled “Ignite the Spark: Turning Ideas into Impact.”
- 23 November: Ashik Ur Rahman Tushar, content creator and entrepreneur, spoke on “From Reviews to Reality: The ATC Journey.”
The series provided a vibrant learning platform and encouraged students to think creatively, embrace entrepreneurial mindsets and transform ideas into meaningful action.
Distinguished guests at the seminar and closing ceremony included Dr KM Hasan Ripon, managing director of Global Entrepreneurship Networks; Somen Kanungo, lead of Startup Huddle Chittagong and founder of NextGen Bangladesh; Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, CEO of RANCON Sea Fishing Division and RANCON FC Properties Ltd; Ariful Hasan, managing director of Denimic Ltd; and AJM Saleh Arpon, managing director of Global Oil Company Ltd.
The speakers shared their entrepreneurial journeys, emphasising innovation, resilience and the potential for sustainable impact. Organisers noted that such initiatives play a crucial role in nurturing a strong entrepreneurial culture on campus.
