"International Youth Research Camp starts in Kathmandu, Nepal"

A youth delegation from the Bangladesh Research Society collaborating with Dhaka University Research society, has arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, on 22 May 2025 at 4.00 PM to take part in the International Youth Research Camp 2025. This interdisciplinary research learning and network development program is scheduled for 22 to 28 May 2025 in Both Kathmandu and Pokhara. It brings the students, young scholars and researchers from Bangladesh together for roaming around the world to enhance their research skills and explore new opportunities. A delegation of 19 distinguished students, young researchers, and professionals from renowned Bangladeshi institutions—including the University of Dhaka, BUET, Barishal University, Khulna University, Islamic University etc are participating in this academic visit.
Throughout the week, the youth delegation will participate in various research activites including workshops on research methodologies, interdisciplinary discussions, collaborative research projects, and culturally immersive experiences that experience cross-cultural understanding.
After the arrival, they checked in a hotel in Kathmandu, visited various cultural heritage places and shared their ideas among them. On May 24th and 25th they will be in Pokhara, where they will visit tourist sites, participate in social activities, and a fun marathon race. On May 26th, they will return to Kathmandu for the final leg of the tour.
Some special sessions will be held at the Kathmandu University and Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu on May 27th, at the end of the camp. On May 28th, after visiting the SAARC Secretariat and the IDI office, the delegation will check out of the hotel and depart for Dhaka. This event aims to strengthen Nepal-Bangladesh friendship, encourage academic collaboration, and explore potential avenues for joint research, student exchange, and institutional partnerships.
Bangladesh Research Society is a non-profit organisation working to promote research-based education among young people in Bangladesh. The organization is currently active in establishing and managing research societies in 25 public universities, 7 private universities, and 7 colleges. Dhaka University Research Society is a student-led platform working on joint research and knowledge exchange in Bangladesh and internationally.
