Project Chauna Piyaju by Youth’s Voice delivers iftar and Eid gifts to 600 children across Bangladesh
Project Chauna Piyaju (PCP) 2026 reimagined the traditional model of aid. Rather than gathering children at a single venue, the initiative brought the celebration directly to them, visiting institutions such as SOS Children’s Villages Chittagong, CGS Community School, Hope School, Upolobdhi Foundation, and Child Care Model School. From Dhaka to Khulna, Sylhet, and Kushtia, PCP reached 600 children across the country.

Each child received a “Smile Pack” containing iftar and a new Eid outfit, ensuring they could share in the joy of the season. Yet the true magic lay beyond the packages—in the laughter and simple moments of connection between volunteers and children, a reminder that smiles speak a universal language.
In the quiet moments before the azan echoes across Bangladesh, there is a shared sense of anticipation. For many, Ramadan is a time of family and abundance; for others, it highlights what is missing. This year, Youth’s Voice sought to bridge that gap not simply through charity, but through the power of presence.
Such an effort rests on shared commitment. Partners like BSRM and Blue Aqua Drinking Water provided crucial logistical support, helping turn the vision of Youth’s Voice into reality.
Farishta Choudhury, Vice President of Youth’s Voice, said, “Project Chauna Piyaju celebrates Eid with children who are often deprived of such simple happiness. This year, we redesigned the initiative to reach even more kids.” Organising lead Arpita Chowdhury added, “Fifteen years into Project Chauna Piyaju, we continue to share the joy of iftar and the spirit of Eid. By visiting different schools, we aimed to reach over 1,000 children and bring the celebration into their own spaces.”
As Ramadan draws to a close, the impact of Project Chauna Piyaju lingers in the schools and homes it touched. It serves as a reminder that meaningful social impact is measured not only by the aid distributed, but by the connections created. Through PCP, Youth’s Voice shows that when we share our time, our table, and our hearts, we help ensure every child feels the warmth of the holy month.
