Forum Week 2025 begins at Stamford University Bangladesh

Stamford University Bangladesh launched its flagship student engagement initiative, “Forum Week 2025,” on 26 July, with the aim of strengthening co-curricular participation and fostering leadership among students. Organised by the Department of Student Welfare, the week-long event is focused on recruiting new members into the university’s 17 active student forums and clubs.
The inaugural ceremony was held at the university auditorium, with the presence of senior university officials, faculty members, and student leaders. Muhammad Abdul Matin, Registrar of Stamford University, formally inaugurated the event. Other speakers included Dr Mrityunjoy Acharjee, University Proctor, and Prodeepto Mobarook, Head of the Public Relations Division. Conveners and coordinators of various student forums were also in attendance.
The session was chaired by Tamanna Zerin, Advisor of Student Welfare, who underlined the role of co-curricular and extracurricular involvement in preparing students to be competent professionals and socially responsible citizens.
Forum Week is recognised as a major platform for student development at Stamford, intended to build leadership skills, workplace competence, effective communication, cultural awareness, and civic engagement.
Currently, Stamford University hosts 17 active student forums and clubs, including the Stamford Debate Forum, Stamford University Drama Society, Stamford University Photographic Society, Stamford YES (Youth Engagement Support), Stamford University Volunteers, Stamford University Sahittya Forum, Stamford Anti-Drug Forum, Stamford University Robotics Club, Stamford University Journalist Forum, Stamford Life Science Club, STRAYBIRD Forum, Stamford University Computer Society, Stamford Pharma Forum, Stamford Business Forum, Stamford Civil Engineering Forum, Stamford Mooting Club, and Stamford University Economics Forum.
The membership drive will continue until 29 July, with daily activities and exhibitions scheduled from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering students the opportunity to learn more about the various forums and join those that reflect their interests and aspirations.
