Samiha Khan has been appointed director of Daffodil Group, with effect from 1 February, 2026.

The appointment was announced at a ceremony held on 29 January at Daffodil Plaza in Sobhanbagh, Dhaka. In recognition of her professionalism, efficiency, and contributions over the past five years, she has been entrusted with the leadership role.

At the ceremony, Dr Mohammad Nuruzzaman, group CEO of Daffodil, formally handed over her appointment letter. Professor M R Kabir, vice-chancellor of Daffodil International University, presented her with a certificate of appreciation for her leadership and institutional commitment. She also received a special recognition award for her contributions to the group’s foundational philosophy and organisational growth.

Before joining Daffodil Group, Samiha Khan held roles in several national and international organisations. She worked as an intern at Dhaka Tribune in 2014 and later joined the Yunus Centre in 2016, where she was involved in social development and policy-related initiatives. She also served as a research assistant at the UK-based organisation Citizens UK in 2017.

In 2019, she worked as a course ambassador at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. From July to November 2020, she served as marketing director at Keen UCL. Between September 2020 and June 2023, she worked with the Youth Policy Forum as coordinator and network lead of the Environment Policy Network, contributing to youth leadership development in policy and environmental issues.

Over the past five years at Daffodil Group, she has worked across several key divisions, including Future DIU, Brand and Communications, Career Development Center, International Affairs, HRDI, Daffodil International School, and Daffodil Computers Limited. Under her leadership, a structured HR software system was introduced, forming the basis for transparent and modern employee evaluation across the group.

Samiha Khan completed her undergraduate degree at Middlesex University in the UK and her postgraduate degree at University College London (UCL). She currently serves as a member of the board of trustees of Daffodil International University and will continue as a director of the publicly listed Daffodil Computers PLC alongside her new role.

Daffodil Group said the appointment would further strengthen its merit-based leadership development and succession planning framework. Senior officials of Daffodil Group and the university were present at the ceremony.
