Hult Prize Bangladesh concluded its nationwide leadership development initiative, “Elevate Bangladesh: The Hult Prize Campus Organisers’ Workshop”, with the sixth and final chapter held on 29 January 2026 at United International University (UIU), Dhaka.

The closing workshop marked the culmination of a multi-city effort aimed at strengthening student leadership, collaboration, and social entrepreneurship across university campuses in Bangladesh. Hosted at UIU’s multipurpose hall, the Dhaka chapter brought together campus organisers from universities across the capital. As the final stop of a series spanning Rajshahi, Barishal, Khulna, Sylhet, and Chattogram, the workshop also served as a platform to consolidate insights and reflect on lessons from different regional contexts.

The Elevate Bangladesh initiative was designed to equip campus organisers with strategic thinking, leadership skills, and practical execution frameworks to run effective Hult Prize programmes at the university level. Across all six workshops, organisers said the emphasis remained on building a connected national community of student leaders capable of translating entrepreneurial ideas into solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Dhaka workshop followed a structure consistent with previous chapters, with members of the Hult Prize Bangladesh national team facilitating sessions on strategic planning, execution guidelines, and campus management. Md Aminul Islam, National Coordinator, Hult Prize Bangladesh, and Md Abid Shaharia, National Community Coordinator, led key discussions, sharing experiences and practices drawn from years of student-led initiatives across the country.

“We were not building event managers – we were building a national leadership pipeline grounded in responsibility, strategy, and long-term impact,” said Md Aminul Islam.

The workshop also included perspectives from academia and industry. Dr Mohammad Omar Farooq, Professor and Head, Department of Economics, UIU, highlighted the importance of ethical leadership, analytical thinking, and academic grounding in driving sustainable impact. From the corporate sector, Sabrina Mehnaz, Head of Internal Control and Compliance, United Finance PLC, emphasised the role of governance, accountability, and risk awareness in scaling responsible ventures.

The workshop also featured insights from Musharrat Shabnam Shuchi, Advisor, Hult Prize Bangladesh, and Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, UIU, who stressed the importance of mentorship, inclusivity, and long-term vision in student-led entrepreneurship ecosystems.

With the completion of Elevate Bangladesh, organisers said Hult Prize Bangladesh remains committed to nurturing the next generation of changemakers by empowering campus organisers with the tools, confidence, and networks needed to lead impactful initiatives. They added that the next focus will be translating these learnings into stronger campus programmes and social impact in the months ahead.
