IBA marks completion of first EBD programme batch

The Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka, recently celebrated the successful completion of the first batch of its Entrepreneurship and Business Development (EBD) programme on campus.

The programme, conducted in collaboration with Prime Bank PLC, was designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with advanced business knowledge and practical skills, supporting sustainable growth and innovation.

The ceremony began with a welcome address by Professor Dr Khaled Mahmud, who highlighted the importance of structured entrepreneurial education in developing capable, future-ready business leaders.

The event also featured addresses by Professor Dr Md Mohiuddin; Professor Mohammad Ridhwanul Haq, PhD, Coordinator of the Management Development Programme; and Professor Sheikh Morshed Jahan. They set out the vision, objectives, and long-term impact of the EBD programme in nurturing entrepreneurial talent and strengthening the country’s business ecosystem.

Representing Prime Bank, M Nazeem A Choudhury, Deputy Managing Director, emphasised the importance of strong industry–academia collaboration. He reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurial development through initiatives such as the EBD programme.

The ceremony concluded with a certificate distribution session, marking the successful completion of the programme and recognising participants’ achievements.
