The IEEE IUB Student Branch proudly celebrated IEEE Day 2025 on 13 October 2025, marking 15 remarkable years of innovation, leadership, and dedication to advancing technology for humanity. The celebration reflected the branch’s continuous growth and commitment to fostering young innovators within the IUB community.

The event began with a series of inspiring speeches delivered by distinguished guests, including the branch’s honourable mentors, counsellor, and advisers, who shared their reflections on IEEE’s journey and its role in empowering students toward technological excellence.

Among the esteemed speakers was Dr. M. Abdur Razzak, Founder of the IEEE IUB Student Branch and Adviser of the IEEE PES IUB Student Branch Chapter, whose visionary leadership laid the foundation for the branch’s success and enduring legacy. His words inspired students to continue upholding IEEE’s mission of advancing technology for humanity.

The branch was also honoured by the presence of Dr. Mustofa Habib Chowdhury, Branch Counsellor and Adviser of the IEEE Photonics Society IUB Student Branch Chapter, whose continued support and leadership have significantly strengthened IEEE IUB’s growth and impact.

Adding further insight and encouragement, the Chapter Advisers shared their thoughts and motivation with the members:

The celebration was further enriched by the presence of Mr. Atif M. Safi, Head of the Department of Student Affairs (DOSA), whose participation underscored IUB’s commitment to supporting student-led initiatives and innovation.

Following the formal session, the excitement continued with a colourful rally across the IUB campus, symbolising unity, enthusiasm, and passion for technological innovation among IEEE members. The event concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, commemorating 15 years of achievements, teamwork, and inspiration within the IEEE IUB community.

This milestone not only honoured the branch’s past accomplishments but also renewed its commitment to nurturing future innovators and advancing technology for humanity — the very spirit of IEEE.
