IUB launches two-day internship readiness event
The Office of Career Guidance, Placement & Alumni Relations (CGP & AR) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) successfully began the first day of its two-day career development event, “Internship Readiness Boot Camp”, on Thursday, 9 April 2026 at the IUB campus.
The programme opened with a session titled “Strategic CV Writing”, conducted by Assistant General Manager at Rancon Saadi Uddin Ahmed.
This was followed by another session titled “From Profile to Presence: Crafting Your Professional Story on LinkedIn”, delivered by Founder and CEO of CloudCreative Nashid Ali.
The university said it was a proud moment to welcome back accomplished alumni Saadi Uddin Ahmed and Nashid Ali as guest speakers. Their sessions were described as both engaging and impactful, offering students valuable practical insights.
Participants gained hands-on knowledge on preparing effective CVs from Saadi Uddin Ahmed, while Nashid Ali shared perspectives on developing and maintaining a strong LinkedIn profile, which the organisers described as an essential tool in today’s professional landscape.
The event continued with a panel discussion titled “Inside the Interview Room: Navigating Questions, Confidence, and Impressions”.
The session featured Syeda Shaila Ashraf, corporate HR, compliance and IT head at Renaissance Group; Sheikh Tareq Zahir FCA, partner at Ahmed Sheikh Roy & Co; Mohammad Riyad Hossain, chief human resources officer (HR & Admin) at RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited; and Parveen S Huda, managing director of CnRG.
The panel discussion provided students with insights into interview expectations, confidence-building techniques, and ways to leave a lasting professional impression.
The first day of the Internship Readiness Boot Camp ended on a high note, with participants leaving the programme inspired and better prepared for their career journeys.
The organisers also expressed appreciation to the student volunteers whose dedication, energy and hard work contributed to the success of the event.
