Students and officials of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) solemnly honoured the martyrs of the Language Movement by placing floral wreaths at the stroke of midnight on Shaheed Dibash and International Mother Language Day.

The ceremony, held at the university’s permanent monument, reflected the profound respect the IUB community holds for the heroes of 1952. By gathering in the early hours, participants reaffirmed their dedication to the values of the Language Movement, which ultimately paved the way for national independence.
