IUBAT delegation attends Kunming education forum in China
A delegation from the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), comprising Vice-Chancellor Prof Abdur Rab, Dean of IUBAT Business School, Dr Mozaffer Alam Choudhury, and BBA Programme Coordinator, Dr Hasunzzaman Tushar, attended the 2025 Kunming Forum on Education Cooperation and the South and South Asian University Presidents Forum in Kunming, China, on 23 October 2025.
The event was hosted by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and organised by Yunnan University. The South and South Asian Universities Network (S&SAUN) is an association of 110 universities from China and Southeast Asia, of which IUBAT is a founding member.
The theme of the 4th Forum was “Smart Learning and Inclusive Sharing in Higher Education”. The event was attended by ten foreign diplomats and 86 participants from 12 countries across South and Southeast Asia.
Prof Abdur Rab took part in a four-member round-table discussion on “Digital Practices for Inclusive Education”, where he addressed the challenges of human resource development and proposed strategies for effective solutions. His remarks were well received by the participants.
The IUBAT delegation also met with representatives of the Yunnan School of Business to discuss collaboration opportunities and the preparation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two institutions. It was agreed that IUBAT Business School would prepare and send a draft MoU for consideration by the Yunnan School of Business.
