IUBAT

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) observed Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day with due respect and solemnity, organising a series of programmes to honour the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement.

On Saturday morning, marking the occasion, the national flag was hoisted at half-mast by the Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT, Professor Dr Abdur Rab; Board of Trustees Member Engineer Wasil Hasan Chowdhury; and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Mahmudur Rahman.

Subsequently, teachers, students and officials of the university paid heartfelt tribute to the language martyrs by placing floral wreaths at the Shaheed Minar located on the university campus.

Members of the Board of Trustees, the Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Deans of various faculties, Chairpersons of colleges and departments, Directors, Coordinators, teachers, officers, staff, students, BNCC members, student ambassadors, members of different student societies and representatives of the Alumni Association also participated in the programme and offered floral tributes.

IUBAT observes this historic day annually through commemorative activities that play a significant role in inspiring students with patriotism and fostering deep respect for their mother tongue
