JU Career Club holds AGM and committee handover ceremony

Jahangirnagar University Career Club (JUCC) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Committee Handover Ceremony at the Seminar Room of the Zahir Raihan Auditorium on 18 July. The event brought together students, club members, and alumni to reflect on the club’s progress and welcome a new leadership team.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the club’s advisor, Mahade Hasan, Assistant Professor at the Department of Accounting and Information Systems.
Since its inception in 2014, JUCC has played a significant role in enhancing students’ career preparedness through skill-building workshops, seminars, public-speaking events, and networking opportunities. This year’s gathering marked the club’s transition to its 10th Executive Committee, composed of enthusiastic individuals committed to advancing JUCC’s mission.
Intekhab Fardin Turja has been elected as the new President, bringing strong analytical and communication skills to the role. Abdullah All Noman has taken over as General Secretary, with Md Aminul Islam and Md Shahar Shital assuming the roles of Vice President (Administration) and Vice President (Operations), respectively. Abdullah Tahmid Tashin has been appointed Assistant General Secretary, while Shafin Al Hasan will serve as Finance Secretary. The Organising Secretaries are Md. Musaddik Hussain, Rafia Afroz Raka, and Sadia Sarna.
Syeda Samia Ashraf Oishi has stepped in as Communications Secretary, with Afia Anjum Prova taking charge as Publication Secretary. Arpan Samadder and Sadat Noor have been appointed Corporate Affairs Secretaries (External and Internal), while Md Atif Hossain will oversee events as the Event Management Secretary. Irtija Imrose and A S M Mashroor Raihan Sakib have assumed responsibilities as HR Secretaries.
The IT Secretariat is led by Nazmus Salehin Nayem (Technical) and Maliha Nur Medha (Creative). Mubashshira Mahboob and Abu Shama Jumayel have taken on the roles of Learning & Development Secretaries (Training and Research & Planning), respectively. The new executive members are Nayela Binte Azad, Jarin Hasan Priya, Tashfia Rashid, Mahjabin Afroj Mishu, and Md Abu Bakar Siddique.
In his remarks, President Intekhab Fardin Turja expressed gratitude to the outgoing committee and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening JUCC’s impact. “JUCC has always been dedicated to fostering career awareness and skill development. We aim to build on that legacy and make our activities more dynamic and impactful,” he said.
General Secretary Abdullah All Noman also shared his vision, stating, “Our goal is to make JUCC an even more effective platform for student career development. Together, we’ll strive for excellence.”
The event concluded with thanks to the outgoing committee for their service, as members looked ahead with optimism to the next phase of growth and student empowerment under the new leadership.
