Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) celebrated its University Day today (1 September), commemorating the historic occasion when the institution was officially renamed from BIT, Khulna to KUET.

The day’s celebrations began with a vibrant ‘Anondo Rally’ on campus, where students, teachers, and staff joined together to express the festive spirit of the KUET community. Following this, an Alochona Shobha (discussion session) was held at the university auditorium. The session highlighted KUET’s prestigious achievements, its history, and future development plans.

A significant number of alumni, including members of the first batch alongside graduates from subsequent batches attended the program, along with faculty members, administrative officials, and students.

The discussion session was presided over by Professor Dr. Maqsood Helali, Vice-Chancellor of KUET, who emphasized the institution’s continuing journey of academic excellence and growth.
