The Department of Pharmacy at Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST), in collaboration with the JUST Pharmacy Association, successfully organised the National Pharma Conference 2025 on 19 July, centred on the theme ‘Bridging Research and Practice’. The event aimed to connect academic research with real-world pharmaceutical applications, promoting collaboration between academia and industry.

Students and researchers from various universities across the country participated in the day-long conference, making it a vibrant inter-university academic platform.

Keynote and plenary sessions featured renowned academicians and industry leaders, including Professor Dr Abdur Rashid and Professor Dr Salim Reza from the University of Dhaka, and Nawabur Rahman from Square Pharmaceuticals PLC.

The conference was inaugurated by JUST Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Abdul Majid as Chief Guest. Treasurer Professor Dr Hossain Al Mamun and Dean of FBST Professor Dr Md Sherajul Islam attended as special guests.

The sessions included poster presentations and interactive discussions on topics such as drug design and delivery systems, bioinformatics and public health, as well as pharmacogenomics and biotechnology innovations.

The conference provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange, encouraging students and professionals to pursue innovative solutions in the pharmaceutical sector.
