Niter hosts grand iftar and dua mahfil to foster unity
The National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) hosted a grand Iftar and Dua Mahfil on campus, bringing together teachers, officers, staff, and students in a festive and well-organised gathering.
The event, held at the playground adjacent to the NITER cafeteria, is part of the institution’s annual tradition to highlight the significance of Ramadan and to promote harmony, unity, and goodwill within the NITER community.
Special competitions in Qirat (Quran recitation) and Nasheed (Islamic songs) were organised for students, with separate categories for male and female participants. Winners were later awarded prizes in recognition of their performances.
At the scheduled time, participants broke their fast together with Iftar. A special prayer was offered beforehand, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the nation, the institution, and all its members. The programme concluded with the Maghrib prayer.
The Iftar and Dua Mahfil fostered a spirit of togetherness and spiritual reflection, strengthening bonds among teachers, staff, and students across NITER.
