North South University (NSU) concluded its three-day 10th National Career Fair 2026 at the NSU Plaza on 3 February 2026, reaffirming the university’s commitment to preparing students for the job market and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
Organised by the Career and Placement Center (CPC) and presented by MGH Group, the fair brought together leading national and multinational employers, industry professionals, and aspiring graduates on a single platform.
The closing ceremony was attended by Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of NSU; Professor Nasar Uddin Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Professor Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer of NSU; Mr M A Kashem, Founder Life Member and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Mr Benajir Ahmed, Founder Life Member and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Ms Rehana Rahman, Member of the Board of Trustees; Mr Taskeen Ahmed, President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI); and Dr Farzana Nahid, Director of the Career and Placement Center, along with senior officials, faculty members, corporate representatives, and guests.
Professor Abdur Rob Khan said the fair created a meaningful opportunity for students, alumni, and participants from other universities to submit their CVs, explore career prospects, and gain insight into the professional landscape. He noted that the event helped participants better prepare for future careers.
Professor Nasar Uddin Ahmed described the fair as a nationwide platform where students could apply academic knowledge to real-life problem-solving. With more than a hundred booths, he said, students were able to engage directly with employers and assess how their skills aligned with industry needs.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury said the fair provided young people with direct access to career guidance and corporate leaders. He emphasised that NSU remains committed not only to its own students but also to learners from institutions across the country by offering such inclusive career platforms.
Ms Rehana Rahman thanked the organisers for arranging the event and expressed hope that future editions of the career fair would be even more vibrant and impactful.
Mr Benajir Ahmed said the three-day event had transformed the campus into a bridge between education and employment, allowing students to connect their aspirations with real opportunities in the job market.
Mr Taskeen Ahmed noted that beyond interviews and recruitment booths, the fair fostered discussions on ambition, opportunity, and the future of Bangladesh, which he described as the true success of the event.
Mr M A Kashem encouraged students to think beyond graduation and focus on contributing to national development. He highlighted the importance of adaptability and innovation in an era of rapid technological advancement, including artificial intelligence.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Dr Farzana Nahid expressed appreciation to all partners and participants. She said that alongside NSU students, more than 3,000 students from other universities visited the fair over the three days, reflecting strong nationwide interest in career development.
Throughout the event, participating organisations offered recruitment opportunities, career counselling, and interactive sessions for students and fresh graduates. The fair once again positioned North South University as a leading institution in promoting employability and supporting Bangladesh’s future workforce.
