Oxford International School and EWU Photography Club wrap up workshop

A ‘Basic Photography and Cinematography Workshop’ was recently organised by the Oxford International School Photography and Film Club in collaboration with the East West University (EWU) Photography Club. The day-long event, held at EWU, aimed to nurture participants into future visual storytellers.
The intensive workshop was led by the East West University Photography Club and featured expert sessions on photography and cinematography. The Basic Photography session, led by celebrated documentary filmmaker and photographer Shifat Tanjim Rahman, covered essential camera controls and foundational techniques.
Part two of the workshop focused on hands-on application, guided by Syed Md Mahid, Secretary of Design of the EWU Photography Club. Participants then explored the art of moving images in the Basic Cinematography session, also led by Rahman, covering topics from ISO settings to camera movements.
A 30-minute EWU campus tour gave participants the opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in a practical setting under the guidance of EWU Photography Club members.
The workshop concluded with a formal closing and certificate distribution ceremony. Professor Dr Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU, attended as the special guest and presented tokens of appreciation to guest speakers Syed Md Mahid and Shifat Tanjim Rahman. The event ended with a group photo to commemorate the successful day.
Organisers expressed gratitude to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, guest speakers, the EWU Photography Club team, Oxford International School management, and enthusiastic participants for making the workshop a resounding success.
