PSTU students explore future careers through AI
Students of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) participated in a seminar titled “Future Ready Careers Through AI” at the TSC Conference Room on 29 January, exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping work and career pathways.
The two-hour programme was organised by the PSTU Career Club and CSE Club, with support from Programming Hero. Students from various faculties attended the session, which generated active discussion on skills development, emerging opportunities, and the evolving job market.
The keynote speaker, Abdur Rakib, chief operating officer of Programming Hero and a former software engineer at Brain Station 23, spoke on the growing influence of artificial intelligence across sectors.
He said AI is no longer limited to computer science, noting its expanding role in medicine, business, creative industries, and everyday professions. Emphasising accessibility, he told students that working with AI does not require a technical background but rather curiosity, consistency, and a willingness to learn.
Students actively engaged during the session, raising questions about how AI tools could support their academic work, research, and long-term career goals. The interactive format encouraged open dialogue rather than a one-way lecture.
At the end of the programme, organisers thanked Programming Hero and Abdur Rakib for sharing practical, real-world insights with students. They said initiatives like this reflect PSTU’s commitment to preparing graduates for a rapidly changing world, where adaptability and awareness are increasingly essential alongside academic knowledge.
