Following the scrutiny of nomination papers for the Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RUCSU) election, the preliminary list of candidates will be announced today (10 September).

RUCSU Election Commission stated that, the code of conduct will be strictly monitored to ensure a fair election. One candidate has already been warned for violations.

Students report an active electoral atmosphere across the campus and hope that the election will proceed free from undue influence.

According to the election schedule, objections can be submitted on 11 September, nominations can be withdrawn on 13 September, and the final list of candidates will be published on 14 September. Voting will take place on 25 September from 9:00am to 4:00pm in all academic buildings of the university.
