Institutional Quality Assurance, RUET, organised a seminar on Engineering Pathways with the aim of discussing education-to-employment transitions and wealth creation. The seminar was conducted by Prof. Dr. Rokonuzzaman, currently a professor in the Department of ECE at North South University and a Senior Fellow at the Policy Research Institute (PRI), Dhaka.
In his talk, he thoroughly discussed the current job scenario in the country, focusing on the situation of engineering graduates in today’s competitive job market. He addressed the challenges engineers face in meeting their workplace expectations and highlighted why the country’s STEM education still lags behind global standards. The seminar was attended by both teachers and students. After the presentation, an engaging Q&A session was held, where participants actively took part with great interest.
