SEU hosts workshop on accreditation documentation
Southeast University (SEU), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), organised a workshop titled “Preparation for Accreditation: Documentation and Evidence” on 29 January, 2026.
The workshop was conducted for members of the Programme Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC) representing 17 undergraduate and graduate programmes of the university, with the aim of strengthening institutional preparedness for accreditation.
Professor Mesbahuddin Ahmed, chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, attended the programme as the chief guest. He emphasised the importance of accreditation in ensuring quality assurance and enhancing the global competitiveness of higher education institutions.
The event was also graced by Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, PhD, vice-chancellor of Southeast University, and Professor Md Mofazzal Hossain, pro-vice chancellor of SEU, as special guests. They reiterated the university’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous quality improvement.
The keynote presentation was delivered by Professor S M Kabir, member of BAC, who also chaired the session and provided practical guidance on accreditation documentation and evidence management.
The programme began with a welcome address by Professor A K M Masum, director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of SEU, followed by an interactive open discussion and question-and-answer session. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Professor Nasir Uddin Ahammed, director (accreditation) of BAC.
The event was attended by the registrar of Southeast University, deans of various faculties, the controller of examinations, directors, faculty members, officers, and administrative staff.
The workshop reflects Southeast University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional readiness for national and international accreditation.
