Seven IUBAT faculty named among world’s top researchers

Seven distinguished faculty members from the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) have been recognised in the prestigious World’s Top Researchers 2025 list, published by Stanford University in collaboration with global publishing organisation Elsevier.
The honoured scholars are: Professor Dr Golam Rasul, Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics; Dr Shubash Chandra Pal, Professor of Civil Engineering; Dr Md Nazirul Islam Sarker, Professor at the College of Agricultural Sciences; Dr Mohammad Badruzzaman Talukder, Associate Professor and Chairman of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management; Naeem Hossain, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering; Dr Md Shawkat Hossain, Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; and Md Al-Amin Talukder, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering.
This achievement has further strengthened IUBAT’s reputation in the global academic arena. The contributions of these scholars not only highlight IUBAT’s commitment to world-class research but also mark a significant milestone for Bangladesh’s higher education sector.
On this occasion, IUBAT Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdur Rab and Treasurer Professor Selina Nargis extended their congratulations to the researchers for bringing pride to the university and the nation.
Founded in 1991 by eminent educationist Professor Dr M Alimullah Miyan, IUBAT is the first non-government university in Bangladesh. Today, the university hosts thousands of students from across the country, alongside over a hundred international students from 12 nations across Asia and Africa, making it a diverse academic community.
