The formal proceedings began at 10:00 am at the universityโs Central Auditorium with a one-minute silence observed in solemn remembrance of those who were killed or injured during the 2024 anti-autocratic movement led by students and the general public.
In their speeches, speakers reflected on the atrocities and oppression carried out by the then autocratic regime against the protesting students and civilians. A documentary exhibition was also presented, portraying the massacres and brutalities committed during the July Movement.
