SUST Autodrive secures place in Bosch Future Mobility Challenge 2026
SUST Team Autodrive has secured a place in the first stage of the Bosch Future Mobility Challenge (BFMC) 2026 after a competitive global interview round involving student teams working on autonomous mobility solutions.
The achievement marks a significant step in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology’s (SUST) ambition to build Bangladesh’s first autonomous car. The team recently developed a fully functional electric vehicle through the combined effort of thirty students, and now moves onto the international stage.
The confirmation came via email from the BFMC organising committee, which said the team was among seventy-eight groups selected from one hundred and sixty-three applicants worldwide. Organised annually by Bosch, the challenge focuses on autonomous driving technologies and intelligent mobility systems.
Under the programme, each selected team will receive a standard vehicle platform on which to design and test autonomous driving algorithms in the coming months.
In its statement, the organising committee described the team’s interview as “a pleasure” and noted their strong preparation and motivation.
Team Autodrive will now enter the project’s kickoff phase, where teams verify their application details before progressing to technical development stages.
The Bosch Future Mobility Challenge aims to advance innovation in robotics, artificial intelligence, and automated transport by engaging university students in hands-on engineering and research.
