Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) hosted the Orange Corners Bangladesh Roadshow on 20 August, bringing together students, entrepreneurs, and startup enthusiasts to discuss innovation and business opportunities. The event was organised by SUST Business Club in collaboration with Startup Sylhet and the University Innovation Hub Program (UIHP).

The programme aimed to inspire and equip young participants with mentorship, training, and resources to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

SUST Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. A. M. Sarowar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the event, stressing the role of such initiatives in strengthening the regional startup ecosystem.

Mizanur Rahman, Founder and CEO of Dorik, delivered the keynote address, highlighting his journey from launching a startup in Sylhet to building a global SaaS company.

Professor Dr. Farhad Rabbi, Focal Point of UIHP SUST, explained how the Innovation Hub supports students in transforming ideas into ventures, while Professor Dr. Md Monirul Islam, Advisor of Startup Sylhet and SUST Business Club, spoke on strategies to nurture and scale business concepts.

Representatives from Orange Corners Bangladesh — a youth entrepreneurship programme supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by YY Ventures — also presented their offerings, which include training, mentorship, incubation, and funding support of up to €50,000 for young entrepreneurs.
