UIU

The BBA in Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) programme at United International University (UIU) has achieved the prestigious “Academic Alliance” accreditation from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), USA.

With this recognition, UIU becomes the second university in Bangladesh to receive this distinguished international accreditation.

The Institute of Internal Auditors formally issued a letter acknowledging the accreditation and confirming UIU’s inclusion as an Academic Affiliate-level university under the IIA’s Internal Audit Academic Alliance Programme.

The Internal Audit Academic Alliance was established to recognise varying degrees of commitment by universities in preparing students for careers in internal auditing. From introductory exposure to developing workforce-ready graduates, participating institutions play a crucial role in equipping future professionals with the knowledge, skills and ethical foundation required to advance the internal auditing profession. Notably, the IIA is a partner of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

This accreditation reflects the academic strength of UIU’s BBA in AIS programme within the global field of internal auditing. The curriculum is now formally recognised for its alignment with international standards in internal audit education. The achievement underscores UIU’s commitment to academic excellence and is expected to further strengthen the bridge between academia and industry.
