The Students’ International Affairs Society (SIAS) of United International University (UIU) organised a seminar titled Pathway to Australia: Master’s Opportunities and Student Life Unveiled on 6 August 2025 at the university campus. The session aimed to equip students with practical knowledge about pursuing higher education in Australia, including the application process, student life, and post-graduation prospects.

Ms Sumaiya Tasnim Autry, a master’s student at the University of Newcastle and a former UIU BBA graduate, served as the keynote speaker. She shared her academic journey and provided detailed guidance on scholarship opportunities, visa procedures, financial planning, and cultural adaptation. Her personal reflections on overcoming challenges abroad offered valuable perspective for aspiring international students.

The event also featured remarks by Ms Ummay Sumaiya Mutiatur Rasul, who encouraged students to plan early and embrace the opportunities of studying abroad with self-belief and determination.

The seminar drew significant participation, particularly from final-year students keen to explore overseas education options. Key topics included language proficiency tests such as IELTS and PTE, part-time employment opportunities, and potential pathways to permanent residency. An interactive Q&A session addressed a range of student concerns, making the session both informative and inspiring.
