The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Adventure Club has completed a high-altitude expedition to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), Nepal, with all 23 members of the team successfully reaching the base camp at 4,130 metres (13,550 feet).

The ten-day trek, conducted from 14 to 24 May, was a cornerstone of the club’s commitment to experiential learning, resilience-building, and outdoor leadership development. Braving steep ascents, fluctuating weather, and the rugged Himalayan terrain, the group reached the iconic base camp on 19 May, marking a milestone achievement for the club.

Led by Moinak Kanungo, ULAB’s Adventure Club Advisor and Co-Curricular Director, the team maintained strict adherence to acclimatisation protocols throughout the journey. No major health or safety incidents were reported—underscoring the effectiveness of their careful preparation and team discipline.

“This was not just a trek—it was a transformative journey,” said Kanungo. “It tested our limits and deepened our connection with nature, while also building a strong sense of unity among participants.”
