Ulab CSE department celebrates Washington Accord accreditation milestone
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) celebrated its achievement of the Washington Accord Accreditation, granted through the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), on 12 April 2026 at the Forum Hall of the university.
The event marked a significant milestone for the department, recognising its commitment to maintaining international standards in engineering education and academic excellence.
Shamsad Mortuza, Vice-Chancellor of ULAB, and Jude William Genilo, Pro Vice-Chancellor, attended the programme and delivered remarks highlighting the importance of global accreditation and quality assurance in higher education.
Faculty members and students from the CSE Department participated in the celebration, expressing pride in the achievement. They noted that Washington Accord accreditation would expand opportunities for graduates to pursue higher education and professional careers internationally with greater recognition.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the department to continue promoting innovation, academic excellence and global competitiveness in engineering education.
